In 1979 Mike Block got his first Apple, the IIe. Mike decided to learn all he could about this computer. He wrote programs and installed his first modem.

Starting in 1996, Mike worked as a technician for a company that provided design software on Macs to the apparel and textile industries. From there, he worked as a field technician for a major Apple support firm located in New York City. At the request of several customers, Mike decided to branch out on his own and thus founded Mac Power Corp. His previous employers have dropped hardware support from their business models and have turned to Mac Power Corp. to fulfill their outstanding contractual obligations.
